Enchanted by curiosity from a young age, Azad began his career in a chaotic manner, delving into multiple small personal projects. Among them were videos created with his friends, narrating little stories embellished with special effects. It was through these creations that he discovered a true passion for artistic creation. During his master’s studies in engineering, he fully engaged in the development of CGI cinematics using Blender. The revelation came to him while working as an engineer, where he learned computer programming. From then on, the idea of merging his programming skills with his passion for artistic creation took root in him. He opened a Pandora’s box: Unreal Engine 4, starting with very small escape games based on anecdotes and personalities of his group of friends. Small games designed to learn to entertain. In these games, he could test his ability to invent puzzles, do level design, sound design, C++ development, and create an atmosphere inspired by the memorable games of his childhood.
In 2019, during a simple coffee break with his coworker, Jérémi Mapas, a shared passion for video games was the catalyst that drove them to go further. They then decided to co-found their own studio: Questions Factory, the result of the collaboration between Azad and Jérémi. To kickstart their adventure, they opted for an ambitious, precise, and solid project: a cooperative escape game for two players. With Jérémi, Azad co-created the very essence of Bonding Ambivalence, drawing from his previous escape game creations (the famous delirium with ants had its origins there), combined with current inspirations, notably the cyberpunk universe.
The following two years were a challenging learning period, during which Azad familiarized himself with the various skills and discipline necessary for creating a video game of this scale: from 3D modeling to programming, musical composition, marketing, and business management. Bonding Ambivalence remains to this day one of the most ambitious projects of his entire life.
